One round, walking

I've had my first proper running sessions in about 12 weeks (first time after the fracture):
Saturday : 10 x 50m intervals on grass, including some drills and a leaping power session.
Monday : 3.5 km slow and 6 km faster (about 4:30 min/km).

That was too much. I reckon the Saturday session was the worst, as the 50 meters went slightly faster than planned. With the Monday session on top my leg once more got somewhat painful. I do feel weak pain while walking, and even while standing. Not a very good sign and not sure if this is a major setback or just a minor one. Hoping for the latter.

Today it was once more time for Sognsvann Rundt Medsols, but due to my leg I did walk around the lake in stead of running. Luckily for me (or maybe I should say sadly for all of us) there were more people that joined, and it actually became a social trip around the lake in the cold but sunny first day of May 2013.

Hopefully I can still do Råskinnet on the weekend. Should be not too bad due to the type of race it is (soft surface with a lot of variation). As Sognsvann is still full of ice it will for sure be a cold experience, and it will be very tiring as I have done little running lately. However, it should be fun.

  1. Syntes nesten jeg overhørte noe om vondter i stad, og dessverre stemte det. Æsj, da!
    Får satse på at det blir mest bading på lørdag da, det er jo skånsomt. :-D

    Så du at de hadde satt opp bånd nede i den første svingen på vestsida? Da begynte jeg å glede meg!

    1. Dessverre hørte du riktig, Adelheid. Håper (og tror) bare ikke jeg er tilbake til utgangspunktet. Bading i isvann skader nok ikke. Jeg gru-gleder meg, som alltid. Så løypemerkene. Det betyr vel at hele løypa er merket. Den blir sikkert ganske lik som de siste to årene.

      Vi skal kose oss til lørdag!

    2. Jeg aner ikke hva jeg går til, så jeg tror faktisk at jeg skal kose meg på lørdag... Ignorance is bliss!

      I følge informasjonen på Readysidene er blå bånd for Råtassen. Ergo var det ikke Råskinnetløypa vi så på vestsiden.

      Jo, det var også andre bånd rett etter første broen, når vi løp i går. Så tipper at hele løypa er merket.

      Leggen kjennes bedre ut i dag. Mulig det kun er fordi jeg virkelig vil løpe til lørdag...
